Once more, it is a number with three decimal places.
This has gone down a bit since last year, but still puts us 8th in ecology (up one, thanks to another journal dropping back to earth). We are also still the top BES journal (Nah nah di nah nah). Just like last year, we can plot our progress:
Beyond bragging rights, does anyone really care? For instance, we believe our five year impact factor, for reasons this plot makes clear:
One day our interest in the five year impact factor will wane, and we will then be floundering around looking for another statistic to show our progress.
